I once had to travel to Louisiana for something and the area that I had to go to was surrounded by oil fields. I had never seen anything like it. It was very depressing.

More recently I drove through West Virginia and saw mountains with their tops completely stripped off due to coal mining. That was also massively depressing.

Honestly it felt like I was on a different planet.

Wind turbines do however have some flaws such as soil erosion, being useless in areas that don’t get a whole lot of wind, and how often birds will fly into them…. however, they’re better than oil.

If we spent more money on researching and developing solar and wind energy we would be set. But nooooo that would be the smart thing to do.
